Meet our New Owner - Dr. Julie Schneider

We're so excited to announce the addition of Julie Schneider, DVM to the CHVA team! Dr. Schneider is a native of Schuylkill County, PA and graduated from Muhlenberg College with a BA in International Government and Business. After a brief stint as a US Federal Agent, Julie attended Iowa State University's College of Veterinary Medicine. There, she was awarded an Army Health Professional's Scholarship and spent four years as a Captain in the US Army. 

After completion of her military obligation, Julie entered small animal private practice at a clinic in Jacksonville, NC for 5 years. She then moved to Seven Valleys, Pennsylvania where she has been practicing for the past 7 years.  Dr. Schneider has interests in all aspects of veterinary medicine and enjoys Internal Medicine and Oncology cases. She strongly believes in the importance of the Human-Animal-Bond and feels that pets can have an impact on both our emotional and physical well-being. Dr. Schneider strongly feels that providing preventive and palliative care for our pets is as essential to both our pet's comfort and health as well as to improving our client's welfare and happiness. 

When not practicing, Julie enjoys kayaking, hiking, reading and cheering for her daughter at swim meets and orchestra concerts with her husband by her side. Julie's extended family includes one incorrigible Boxer, a sneaky Chihuahua, and two narcissistic cats.
