FERAL SPAY/NEUTER PROGRAM
At CHVA, we understand the needs of the community to control the over-population of stray/feral cats. Through our trap and release program, we are able to offer a lower-cost service for cats considered "feral" that will be released back into the wild or back onto a farm. This program is offered by CHVA at a lower-cost than a full-cost feline spay or neuter to encourage the community to control the cat population. Persons scheduling the procedure are fully responsible for the payment of these services and return of the animal after it has recovered from surgery. Please call the office to inquire about scheduling.
A required ear-tipping procedure to demarcate that this cat has been altered will be performed on all cats admitted under the Feral Cat Program. This mark is to assist in the prevention of re-capture of the feral cat after it has been altered.
